Men's Basketball Inks Cody Cochran

Bluffton High School’s Cody Cochran signed a National Letter of Intent today to continue his academic and athletic careers at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Cochran, a two time first team All-Conference selection averaged 15 point per game, seven rebounds per game, and five assists per game during his junior season at Bluffton. Cody’s scoring average has steadily increased from his freshmen and sophomore years where he averaged 10 points per game and 14 points per game respectively.
During his sophomore campaign Cochran earned third team All-State honors and was selected as an IHSAA Role Model.
The soon to be four year varsity starter has also been named team MVP the last two seasons while also participating in the Indiana Top 100 Showcase.
Cody played AAU basketball last year for Spiece Gym Rats and for Indiana Elite the previous two years.
“We are excited to have Cody as part of our program,” said head coach Mike Lightfoot. “He gives us a big guard look that we need in our 2010 class. Cody comes from a great family and is a great fit for our program. Cody is a great student athlete.”
Cochran will join a Pilots program which graduates five seniors from a team that starts the 2009-10 season as the preseason No. 3 ranked team in NAIA DII.
